Information you give us: If you use our listing form, we collect what you enter, such as your name, business name, phone, email, website, category, plan choice and description. Automatic information: like most websites, our servers and the services we use automatically receive your IP address, browser and device type, operating system, referring page, pages visited and the date and time of your visit. Cookies: small files stored in your browser that remember settings and help measure clicks and referrals.
To run and improve the site, respond to your requests, show relevant options, measure which links and pages are useful, prevent fraud and abuse, and comply with the law.
We do not sell your listing form information. Business listing details you ask us to publish (such as business name, phone and website) are shown publicly on the site. Affiliate networks and booking partners such as Stay22 receive click and referral data when you follow affiliate links. We may also share information with service providers that help run the site (such as Netlify), or when required by law.
Some links on this site are affiliate links. When you click one, the partner or affiliate network may set its own cookies or use similar tracking to record that you came from SearchTexoma, so we can be paid a commission. On SearchTexoma we use Stay22, an affiliate service whose script runs on our pages. Stay22 may set cookies and convert links to booking sites such as Booking.com and Vrbo (for example, our Book a cabin and Book a hotel buttons) into affiliate links. When you follow those links, Stay22, Booking.com and Vrbo may collect information about your visit and booking. See Stay22's privacy policy. Those companies handle your information under their own privacy policies, and we encourage you to read them.
Our site is hosted by Netlify, which processes standard server logs (such as IP addresses) to deliver and secure the site. Forms on this site are processed and stored through Netlify Forms. We may use privacy-friendly analytics, such as Netlify's analytics or similar tools, to count visits and understand which pages are popular. We do not sell analytics data.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and many browsers offer a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control setting. Blocking cookies may affect affiliate links but will not stop the site from working. You can opt out of marketing contact at any time by replying STOP to a text, asking a caller to stop, or contacting us through our contact form.
If you live in California or another state with similar laws, you may have the right to know what personal information we collect, to access it, to correct or delete it, and to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of your personal information, including sharing for targeted advertising. To make a request, including a Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information request, use our contact form. We will not discriminate against you for using these rights. This site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us through our contact form and we will delete it.
We use HTTPS encryption and reasonable safeguards, and we keep information only as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date shows when it last changed. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
